Four Truths About Cholesterol Testing in Children

Today the FH Foundation published an article I authored, titled "Four Truths About Cholesterol Testing in Children".  It discusses the background and merits of testing every child's cholesterol, at the appropriate age.  The FH Foundation is an excellent resource for individuals and families with Familial Hypercholesterolemia and have enjoyed working with them on this project.  Please note, though, that most children do not have FH and still can benefit from the information obtained in a routine cholesterol test.  Be sure to talk to your healthcare provider today about cholesterol screening - and, most importantly, take the opportunity to look at your family's health and lifestyle to make sure you are on the path to wellness!
