FAQs
Please take a moment to read our most commonly asked questions. We encourage you to contact our office if you have a question that is not answered below.
Q: What is a LIpidologist?
A: A Lipidologist is a physician who specializes in the treatment of cholesterol and is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. Most lipidologists are members of the National Lipids Association. Visit the NLA patient website for more information too. Lipidologists are always board-certified in another field as well - usually Cardiology, Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice or Neurology. Dr. Liebeskind is board-certified in lipidology, pediatrics and internal medicine; this means she can see both adults and children with lipids (cholesterol) problems.
Q: Where are you located?
A: See Our Locations. We have a main office in Neenah, Wisconsin and a monthly regional lipids clinic in Wauwatosa at Tosa Pediatrics. We also offer telehealth options for our enrolled patients and onsite corporate wellness.
Q: Are you accepting new patients?
A: Yes! Our medical practice is open for office visits in Neenah, Wisconsin and in Wauwautosa (within Tosa Pediatrics). Please submit an Appointment Request to reserve an appointment! We will always welcome new patients.
Q: What is the best way to schedule an appointment with your office?
A: There are several options: 1) You can call our office at 844-547-4343 or submit an online Appointment Request to schedule an initial appointment. 2) For established patients you can request an appointment through our Patient Portal Log-In.
Q: How do I sign up and log in to the patient portal?
A: Once you have been seen once by Dr. Liebeskind, you can request a code to be emailed to you. We'd be glad to talk you through the process as well - just call us at 844-547-4343.
Q: In what states are your consults available?
A: Our providers are licensed to deliver care in the State of Wisconsin. Per current state licensing regulations, our patients must also physically be in Wisconsin at the time of the delivery of care, even for telehealth consults.
Q: What is the cost of this care?
A: Every case is unique, thus prices for care can vary based on the time needed and complexity of the needs and questions. We believe in transparency. That means that upon request, we will make every effort to give you the pricing for your needs BEFORE your visit. This can help you budget accordingly, especially if you are concerned that your insurance will not cover the visit. Contact Us to inquire about current pricing information.
Q: Are your office visits and telehealth visits covered by my insurance?
A: We are currently an approved in-network provider for most plans including United Healthcare, UMR, Golden Rule, Anthem BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Aetna, Humana plans, Network Health Plan, Molina, Trilogy, WEA, WPS, Medicare and Medicaid Plans. Sometimes your insurance may go by a different name but still be one of those covered companies, so please let us know if you are concerned and we can investigate for you. We are adding new plans frequently so if you don't see your plan listed, still call and check - you might be pleasantly surprised!
Q: What if I am looking for a provider taking my insurance and Mobile Health Team is not covered?
A: We understand! We want every patient to be completely comfortable with their mode of healthcare and get full satisfaction. If you would like to find providers who might be in-network, you can visit the NLA patient education website to find a lipidologist in your area. Many cardiologists and endocrinologists are also interested in managing complex cholesterol needs. We hope you can still find helpful information on our free content pages: Learning Center.
